Abstract

The tactics and techniques of surgical procedures in enlarged right hemicolectomies are studied and divided into two chapters: a) extension of lymph-node emptying
to the periaortic groups of the cava; and b) resection of contiguous víscera or structures adhered to or infiltrated by the tumor. Visceral ablations are justified on the
grounds of technical, statistical or cancerological reasons. The procedure is divided into curative or radical surgery and paliative surgery in cases of complicated tumors. Anatomical
types of inflamatory ( 54,8 % ) or neoplasic adhesions, their diagnosis and operatory exploration are analyzed. The main chapter contains a detailed
analysis of the surgical conduct for each invaded organ or viscera, with special emphasis on adhesions of the duodenum-pancreas, kidney, ureter, anterior and posterior
abdominal wall, etc. The study includes frequency, anatomic forms and different tactics and techniques, as well as their results.
