Report of a clinical case of post - traumatic cardiac tamponade in closed thorax. Clínica} and hemodynamic
correlation is remphasized. The review describes the mechanism whereby this condition is produced. Diagnosis should be clínica!, early and precise and it should be followed by emergency therapeutic surgery based on thoracotomy with pericardiotomy.
