The authors describe different colon-anal
anastomosis techniques in the treatment of rectal
cancer, analyzing previously the bio/ogica/ basis to
authorize sphincterian conservation, the
indications of the technique and a sample of
opeatory, carcino/ogic and functional results from
the literature.
