Authors present a case of spontaneous expulsion of a
descending colon submucous lipoma fol/owed by
favourable evolution. They make a brief review of the
subject, pointing out these tumours characteristics,
sympatomatology and complications, emphasizing the
uncommonness of expulsion. They a/so comment on the
different possibilities the available diagnostic means offer,
and the various surgical procedures that can be used.
